LIBEROWE SPRING/SUMMER 27

Lightness in Motion

The collection began with a memory of Ischia: fishing nets gathered along the shoreline, bleached and discoloured by the sun and the passing of time.

That image becomes a starting point for the season, reinterpreted through Liberowe’s signature summer tweed, which is more open than ever and worked to evoke the transparency and irregularity of fishnet.

The palette is direct and elemental. Liberowe’s signature red is joined by navy and yellow, punctuated with touches of beige, rust and turquoise.

"Through various fabric techniques, I explored weight and drape, density and airiness, in a constant search for freedom and confidence."

For the first time, lace is introduced to the collection.

Developed with a French atelier, it is treated as a mesh, exploring transparency and revealing glimpses of the body beneath.

Chinese silk brings further airiness, while embroidery across chiffon is approached as an all-over textile rather than an embellishment.

Crisp cotton introduces a counterpoint, allowing for new silhouettes and volumes while continuing the house’s ongoing exploration of femininity, empowerment and movement.

The season also marks a collaboration between Liberowe and London fine jewellery brand By Pariah.

Together, the two female-founded, independently run British brands have created a series of bespoke buttons, hand-carved from Botswana agate and finished with a fine gold line through the centre.
